Backyard Theater for Children: Farafina Kan Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11:30 AM Backyard Theater Stage
Their name means “Spirit of Africa;” their music is inspiring. This West African percussion orchestra brings together traditional and modern sounds and stories, drumming and dancing until everyone’s on their feet.
This concert will run approximately 45 minutes with no intermission.

Parking: Parking for Backyard Theater is in the Mansion lot on a space-available basis. Enter the lot at 10701 Rockville Pike. Overflow parking is at the meters along Tuckerman Lane, or in the Metro garage. (Parking in the garage is $5.00 and a Metro SmarTrip or major credit card is required to pay the exit fare.)
Seating: The Backyard Theater stage is outdoors under a tent. Please bring blankets or low beach chairs – but no pets, please.
Dining: Bring a bag lunch and grab a patch of grass after the applause. It’s a great time for young critics to share their show reviews!
