Due to the possibility of severe weather, the Strange Fruit performance will take place at 8 PM
Rising local hip hop artist and guitarist Christylez Bacon and his band break it down with pop-and-lock dancers at 7 p.m., followed by “Swoon” by performance artists Australia's Strange Fruit at 9 p.m. Australia's Strange Fruit fuses theater, dance and circus as performers sway and move in tightly synchronized motion atop 12 foot tall flexible poles.

Parking Parking for the Strathmore Free Outdoor Concert Series is in the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro garage and requires payment. Enter the garage on Tuckerman Lane. Parking is $4.75, and a Metro SmarTrip card will be required to pay the $4.75 parking fare in order to exit the garage. Metro does not accept cash or any other form of payment. SmarTrip card dispensers are available at all stations with Metro-operated parking lots. The dispensers sell SmarTrip cards for $10 — $5 for the card itself and $5 in fare value. Summer Food and Refreshments Back by popular demand! BBQ ribs, pulled pork, veggie burgers, hot dogs, side dishes, desserts, soda, water, beer and wine are available for purchase at Bruce’s BBQ Shack during Strathmore’s Free Outdoor Concert Series. Donate Your Old Instruments! All summer long bring your used instruments to our instrument drive and we will donate them to Hungry for Music, a local non-profit that refurbishes used instruments and donates them to children in need. Additionally, 15% of the proceeds from CD sales on site all summer long will be donated to Hungry for Music to assist in their instrument donation and refurbishment program.
