Günther Herbig, conductor
Jonathan Biss, piano |
The BSO shows its classical stripes with an evening of early 19th-century masterpieces under the baton of venerable Maestro Günther Herbig. Mozart’s famous G minor symphony and Beethoven’s equally beloved C minor piano concerto, in the exceptional hands of young American pianist Jonathan Biss, are followed by Schubert’s charming and sunny “Little C Major” symphony. Attend a FREE pre-concert lecture with WETA’s David Ginder before every Classical Thursday event at Strathmore. Music Notes LIVE! begins at 7 PM. No reservations are required but capacity is limited, so patrons will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
This concert will run approximately 110 minutes with intermission.
