Nicholas McGegan, conductor
and BSO Soloist
Andrew Balio, trumpet

Baroque and early classical music specialist Nicholas McGegan was all fun and exuberance at his 2010 BSO debut. He returns with another sparkling program, showcasing the unique talents of several BSO musicians, and culminating in the first of Mozart’s last three symphonies, all written in one incredible, nine-week burst of creativity. The perfect antidote to the Yan Pascal Tortelier mid-winter blues!

Attend a FREE pre-concert lecture with WETA’s David Ginder before every Classical Thursday event at Strathmore. Music Notes LIVE! begins at 7 pm. No reservations are required but capacity is limited, so patrons will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Program:
Brandenburg Concerto No. 1 in F major, BWV 1046
Orchestral Suite from Naïs
Trumpet Concerto in E-Flat Major
Symphony No. 39 in E-Flat Major, K. 543
