Internationally Renowned Pianist Peter Serkin to Replace Murray Perahia on March 29th
On Wednesday, March 29, pianist Peter Serkin will step in for Murray Perahia, who is unable to perform due to a flare-up of an earlier finger injury. Recognized as one of the most thoughtful and individualist musicians of our day, Peter Serkin began his relationship with WPAS in 1966 when the organization presented him on the Hayes Piano Series. Throughout his career Serkin has dedicated himself to bridging five centuries of musical repertoire and successfully joining works from the late 20th century with classical and romantic favorites. The Los Angeles Times declares, "Peter Serkin is second to none at the piano."
