"WORTH THE DRIVE: If you missed the notice, the Mansion at Strathmore throws
the best reason to trek out of the district with its Friday Night Eclectic showcase..." ( The Washington Post Express)
THIS JUST IN: Strathmore Artist in Residence alumnus Jaime A. Salazar (Gato) has relocated to the West Coast so tonight's performance is his Washington, DC FAREWELL
Here is your last chance to see Gato & the Palenke Music Co. This seven member Latin band's music grooves with influences from El Salvador, Peru, Paraguay and Colombia. Don't miss this chance to hear them perform tracks from their album, La Situacion.
Visual artist Stephanie Potter returns with her wildly popular interactive photo booth and Gato's uncle Colombian artist Julio Salazar will have three of his works on display. Salazar endows the human face with layers, textures, depth and vibrant color, eliciting the emotions and complexities of this most familiar form.
