Musical theater and R&B singer Jobari Parker-Namdar is the son of an African-American mother and an Iranian father who grew up in Montgomery County and Washington, D,C, and studied voice at University of Michigan and Howard. His buttery, soulful voice is a musical theater scene-stealer at places like Signature Theatre, but his interests and influences transcend cultures and labels.
