Tribute to Woodstock’s 40th Anniversary
Presented by Strathmore
Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 7:30 PM
Music Center at Strathmore

Back to Calendar

The concert experience that defined an era is coming to life at Strathmore—the Woodstock generation may be 40 years older, but they haven’t lost their groove. Enjoy top-notch artists whose own music emerged from or was influenced by Woodstock, performing musical tributes to some of their favorite Woodstock bands.

Eddie from Ohio plays the favorites of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Tommy Lepson presents Joe Cocker’s hits, Margot MacDonald brings us Jefferson Airplane, Joe Uehlein & the U-Liners resurrect the Grateful Dead, Naked Blue celebrates John Sebastian, Christylez Bacon will perform his version of Richie Havens Freedom and Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer honor Joan Baez. Plus, music of The Who, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Band and more! Whether you’re reliving Woodstock or experiencing the sounds for the first time, you provide the open mind, we’ll take care of the parking and restrooms.
