Jessica Boykin-Settles, faculty in the Jazz department at Howard, will discuss influential jazz great Billie Holiday. Through audio recordings and video, Boykin-Settles will trace Billie Holiday's legacy from her contemporaries through modern-day jazz and pop vocalists.
