Original songs and instrumentals inspired by the music and life of Johnny Cash

This extraordinary evening pairs the acclaimed classical/bluegrass violinist and composer Mark O’Connor with Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Rosanne Cash in works inspired by the legendary Johnny Cash, including O’Connor’s Piano Trio No. 1 “Poets and Prophets,” and selections from Rosanne Cash’s powerful, emotional album, written after her father’s death, Black Cadillac and 2009's The List, representing 12 of the 100 essential country songs Johnny Cash gave his, then 18 year-old daughter, Rosanne in an effort to expand her knowledge of country music. “Rare and memorable… Johnny would have approved” (The Washington Post).
