Enjoy the passionate music of the great romantic German composer Johannes Brahms. Adele Anthony plays the riveting Violin Concerto (the original manuscript of which resides at the Library of Congress), created for the composer’s recital partner and friend, Joseph Joachim. The pastoral Symphony No. 2, composed during Brahms’s trip to the Austrian Alps, concludes the program.
