Kendall Gladen, Carmen Theresa Santiago, Micaela Dan Snyder, Don José Dean Elzinga, Escamillo Eliot Pfanstiehl, host Piotr Gajewski, conductor
Mezzo-soprano Kendall Gladen brings to life the manipulative and magnetic personality of Carmen in this simply staged concert performance. Set in Seville, Spain, around 1830, the story revolves around a beautiful gypsy who woos the young corporal Don José. The relationship ends tragically when Don José murders Carmen after she rejects him for the bullfighter Escamillo.
