Join the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Soulful Symphony and former NAACP President Kweisi Mfume for a tribute and celebration commemorating the 80th birthday of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A community celebration honoring the life and legacy of Dr. King, Maestra Marin Alsop leads the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra together with Soulful Symphony in a performance including a work showcasing texts by Dr. King set to music and narrated by Kweisi Mfume, an original moving work by Darin Atwater, Soulful Symphony Founder and Artistic Director entitled Evolution of a People and much more.
