At only 12 years old, singer-songwriter and rocker Margot MacDonald released her debut album, Rising, and her sophomore album, Torn, at 15. Now 17 years old, she is the winner of the "Young Artist Award" from the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest and "New Artist of the Year" from the Washington Area Music Association.

In her first Artist in Residence show at Strathmore, Margot will showcase her softer side with an all-acoustic performance. She will be playing songs from her 3 CDs, along with new original tunes and acoustic rock covers. Guest musicians will include Jennifer Cutting and Jon Carroll on piano, Daniel Cohn on guitar, Sydney Delmar on viola, and Danny Schwartz on percussion.
