The Feria de Sevilla is a cultural event presented by the Centro Español de Washington, D.C. The community is invited to enjoy traditional Spanish music, dance and food. the Feria is the D.C. area’s largest local flamenco event.
The Feria will be inaugurated at noon by the Ambassador of Spain and the Counselor of Labor. This will be followed by the crowning of the Queen of the Feria, and singing of the famous “Salve Rociera.” The song will be performed by guitarists and a ladies chorus dressed in their native costumes as it is performed at the Feria in the beautiful city of Sevilla, Spain. Local flamenco dance companies will then perform onstage until 5:00 p.m.
There will be casetas (Kiosks) representing several regions of Spain featuring their most recognized dishes. Other kiosks will showcase arts and crafts as well as flamenco and products from Spain.
This event is free to the public. Parking is free in the Metro Garage.
