Symphonic Blockbusters: Greats of the Romantic Era

Piotr Gajewski, Conductor
Cho-Liang Lin, violin

MENDELSSOHN Hebrides Overture
BRAHMS Violin Concerto
DVORAK Symphony No. 8

Join the National Philharmonic for a program of great masterpieces from the Romantic Era including Brahm’s virtuosic Violin Concerto, performed by violinist Cho-Liang Lin. Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture, inspired by a cavern known as Fingal’s Cave (on the Hebrides archipelago, off the coast of Scotland), opens the program. Dvorák’s Symphony No. 8, which competes for popularity with his “New World Symphony”, provides the triumphant finale.

Kids ages 7-17 are free. Please call the Strathmore Ticket Office directly at (301) 581-5100 to obtain Kids free tickets. Kids free tickets are not available for online purchase.
