The BSO’s new Music Director Marin Alsop leads this very special performance in celebration of the Peabody Institute’s 150th anniversary featuring Strauss’ colossal Alpine Symphony, and a hallmark of the Alsop repertoire, Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring, in an expanded festival orchestra with the BSO and members of the Peabody Symphony Orchestra.
